My weekly summary of buys from around the blogging community for the week of November 22, 2015.

This weeks totals

This WeekChange
Total Stock Purchases27-5
Unique Tickers Purchased20-6
Different Bloggers making Purchases12-3
Total Cost Of Purchases$25,683914
Increase in Dividends$1,036158
Yield on Purchases4.0%0.49%

I have charted the weekly S&P % Return vs Amount of Money invested in the market for that week. Is there a correlation here? Does it matter? Probably not, but its fun to look at the data.

Top Purchased Stocks this week:

  1. DIS, T - 3 Buys
  2. HCP, KMI, WMT - 2 Buys

DIS and T were the winners this week. DIS has an unimpressive initial yield, but the growth has been double digits since 2010. The stock has been on a tear since 2010. Recently this year, they announced they would start paying dividends twice a year as opposed to their standard yearly payment. Familiar names as well as the runners up this week. HCP, KMI and once again WMT. I copied the graphs for DIS and T below.

Here is the summary of stocks, amount invested, and which blogger posted the buy with a link to the post:

  1. Due to S&P rising and holidays coming up, it made sense that the purchases decreased, however the total cost of these purchases went up. Still, I look forward to this post every week and trying to see trends as they develop. Keep up the hard work.

    1. Thanks for the positive support ADD! It's much appreciated. I hope this never gets old because I do enjoy it! Take care.

  2. With property tax bill due and holidays coming up, we decided to lay low this month. I meant to buy WMT today as our Readers choice but work was too hectic today. I will likely make the purchase tomorrow but it will not show up on the November report.

I do a similar report on a monthly basis so I know how much work goes into these posts. Adam - please know that it is greatly appreciated and valued by myself and the DGI community. Best wishes my friend. AFFJ

    1. Thank you AFFJ! I appreciate all your support and positive vibes! I am in the process of moving so money is a bit tight right now for me as well. I plan to make one more purchase soon but probably won't be back into the full swing until January! Take care and thanks for stopping by!
